Synonym with E. apta
[edit]Eudocima materna is apparently a purely Old World species and any records from the New World are placed in apta. The two were confused for a while and according to http://entomology.lsu.edu/lsam/broupublications/2006.%20137.%20A%20New%20US%20record.....%20%20%20%20%20%20Eudocima%20serpentifera%20.pdf apta is not a synonym.
