The term 'extant' is frequently used on articles about missing TV shows, particularly Doctor Who. Is it worth broadening this article to mention that? --MartinUK 10:11, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

odd

[edit]

The definition given seems to be limited to manuscripts and quotations - do published works for which the manuscript is not found count as "extant"? --Random832 (contribs) 19:43, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As far as my understanding goes, "extant" is only a fancy way of saying "at least one copy exists". Should this be on Wictionary instead of here? --Stephan Schulz (talk) 13:41, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
