This page is out of date. Eye of GNOME version 3.28.4 will not edit images. At some version prior to 3.28.4 the edit features where removed. Robertdirosario (talk) 04:58, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mention the migration to Loupe as the default image viewer

Loupe, a GTK4+Libadwaita image viewer written in Rust, looks like it'll be the default image viewer in GNOME moving forward. This hasn't been done yet, as some features are still missing, but almost everything is there.

I'll be hanging out in the GNOME community to see when, exactly, this'll happen; I expect it to be done in the GNOME 45 release.

This would also involve making a new article page for Loupe. Orowith2os (talk) 23:32, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
