[edit]OK, the writing in this article is poor in general. But, in particular, I think the language is far from neutral, examples:
"when the Club, like the Phoenix, arose from the ashes" "and so began a new era for Scottish Rugby" "no mean feat by any standard" "the long fought campaign of the 2010/2011 season."
I changed a few "we"s to "they"s, but I think someone with some connection to/knowledge of the article should tidy it up.
Also CITATIONS. Please. GoddersUK (talk) 15:23, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
OK, I cleaned the worst of it, but it still needs a lot of work... GoddersUK (talk) 15:36, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Firstly, phrases such as "when the Club, like the Phoenix, arose from the ashes" are glorious. Stop being so bloody beige. Were you privy to the 'long fought campaign of 2010/11'? No, you weren't. If you were, you would appreciate just how long and how much fighting there was. Also, who deleted the official club titles and attributing player names?! This is disgraceful admin on your part. The entire club voted on the roles of Club Captain, Worst Lid, Best Kite and the rest.
Thoroughly disappointed in you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.137.220.241 (talk) 15:57, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Since this is an encyclopaedia, not an opinion piece, all content has to be either objective fact or said by someone notable enough that it is worth reporting the objective fact that they hold those opinions. Sadly we're going for beige rather than glorious here. :) As for the rest... well even if it had been reported that they were the teams classification (rather than as fact) I'm not sure they're really notable... or are really appropriate content for an encyclopaedia... Dear Beige-ist,
Someone notable enough? I was voted Supreme Dictator for the 93/94 season, in 1997 I was issued the 'Golden Wheel', Falkirk RFC's highest honour, for my part in the storming of Stirling County RFC, where now club coach Niall Lear shat on the floor whiles screaming "GARRRRRY, TAKE ME TO IBIZZZZA". Is that 'reputable' enough? Granted, this reign wasn't the 'cleanest' of all, with three deaths and an outbreak of herpes (the result of a rather audacious attempt to rewrite the rules of backgammon (you should also note that I have edited the backgammon wiki page with said updated rules). I also launched the infamous Cheese & Wine night which saw 25 boys guzzle copious amounts of wine, several blocks (yes, blocks of cheese)...we still haven't found the Phantom Spewer from that evening actually. I hereby suggest to you, that my opinion is of the utmost legitimacy and should be taken as the Gods on truth. I look forward to your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.137.220.241 (talk) 16:31, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
