Earthquake

[edit]

On May 20th, 2012 an earthquake struck Finale Emilia. Many stone and brick buildings were heavily damaged, including Castello delle Rocche. Too late to make an article for it now. Its clock tower was split right down the middle, with the right half collapsing onto some parked cars, one of which caught fire. 3 or 4 people were killed. http://news.yahoo.com/photos/strong-quake-hits-north-italy-slideshow/old-tower-damaged-earthquake-finale-emilia-photo-125231366.html Bizzybody (talk) 07:07, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Etimology

[edit]

My Italian is not the best (and actually so is my English), but if I understand correctly the place got its name from the fact that it is set on the border of the Emilia province.

Etimologia [modifica]

Finale deriva da locus finalis (luogo di confine). La specifica indica la sua collocazione geografica. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shnos (talkcontribs) 19:44, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
