Urgent: to change the coat of arms

I wrote the note No Alternate Version but I made a mistake. The alternate shown is the correct one. It is urgent to change the drawing of the coat of arms because it is wrong and it is being used by the Wikipedia in all languages. The true, and legal, Dominican coat of arms has the red ribbon on the bottom with the tips upwards and not like it is shown here. If you wish, visit the site of the [Presidencia de la República] Even the flags with the coat of arms are wrong because of the same reason. If anybody could made the needed arrangement it would be good for the country because we are showing in Wikipedia that we do not know are own symbols. --66.98.79.5 15:26, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

No Alternate Version

The Dominican coat of armas has only official version. The version that appears here (and in other pages) as an alternate one is not correct; in fact, is illegal. --66.98.78.82 22:39, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Shape

The best I could find on the flag shape is [1]. Quote:

Our Constitution establishes that the National flag is made up of the colors: ocean blue and vermilion red, in cornered and alternate quarters in such a manner that the blue must be in the upper part of the mast, separated by a white cross, with a width equal to half of the height of each quarter, taking in its center shield of arms of the Republic.

Nothing about the ratio. According to FOTW [2] ration is arond 2:3, so I used that. Zocky 17:29, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Origin of Dominican Flag

This article fails to mention the Haitian Flag on which the first design was based. See: The Louverture Project: Relation of the Haitian and Dominican Flags. tx - 69.114.169.169 22:14, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
