Author[edit]

I was the original author of this article; it was split off from the "Fraktur (typeface)" article. Part of the reason I wrote it was to bring some academic accuracy about the Pennsylvania Germans to Wikipedia. I'm not pleased to see the change about the "Pennsylvania Dutch" [sic] as that's inaccurate; however, I do recognize the inconsistency of Wiki usage on Pennsylvania Germans. The language entry is "Pennsylvania German" while the ethnic entry is "Pennsylvania Dutch" [sic]. I've started a discussion in the "Pennsylvania Dutch" [sic] section to correct this error. Accordingly, I have included the "perhaps more formally" designation in this article as well.— Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
