User:Ham105 -- Why the revert? From my perspective, the France Sevens article isn't really about one tournament, it's about three distinct sevens tournaments that have taken place in France. One in the 1990s was an invitational that was a mix of national teams and ad hoc sides; another is a leg of the World Series; a third is a leg of the European circuit. Plus those hideous blue boxes keep showing up on a few World Series tournament pages and they are ghastly. CUA 27 (talk) 04:18, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@CUA 27: on reflection, yes I think splitting the tables from when the IRB series started does present better in this case. In saying tht, I'm not convinced it became a separate tournament between 1999 and 2000, however. The weight of available sources consider the pre-2000 editions as being part of the same tournament. Nevertheless I have reinstated separate tables. As regards the blue boxes, their "footprint" is on the heavy side; just one line on the left would have been better. -- Ham105 (talk) 04:38, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ham105: — Thank you. I like the table organization now — the invitational and World Series tournament’s are in separate tables and subsections but within the same larger section, which conveys both the continuity and the distinction. The Europe one is an entirely different beast and belongs in its own section. I plan to beef up the article text too at some point as it is a bit light, but thought I’d start with the tables.
