Honest Information About the Dispute[edit]

User:Therequiembellishere keeps changing this article to hide the fact that there is an active dispute about presidential succession in Honduras, despite the fact that not a single other country in the world recognizes the supposed acting presidency of Micheletti. P.S. Micheletti's government should be treated like the governments of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Transnistria. All of those governments are recognized by the dominant institutions within their territories but not by the rest of the world. There is no "dispute". There was a military coup. Micheletti is not the "president", he isn't even elected. Everything else is propaganda.Sonyes (talk) 14:28, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to Wikipedia Dispute is "a state of prolonged public dispute or debate usually concerning a matter of opinion.". Since the issue is widely divided in opinion, this would be textbook definition of "dispute". Some people claim Zelaya is the President..at least 1 or more (certainly more than that) claim Micheletti is the Presidente. Your personal view or even of the majority's view on the matter, doesn't change the fact that there is a competing opinion as to who is the legal president.
