First wife death

Where is the citation and cause of death of his first wife Lillian. I've only ever seen that she died of a "heart ailment". I've seen newspaper stories stating this online, but there was never anything about cancer. Regardless, there is no citation of these "facts". 75.161.30.32 (talk) 23:07, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Huh?

Does anyone know anything about this passage-

During the 1940s, the Fawcett Comics superhero character, Captain Marvel was modeled in some ways after MacMurray. (MacMurray had played a caped superhero in a dream sequence in the film No Time for Love.) The same image was later used in the creation of the 1990s character The Gentleman, from Astro City.

If no one can explain this, then I might delete it. What does it mean? Could someone explain this? Not only that, but it seems way out of place. Slater79 16:46, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps it seems strange to you because Fred McMurray appeared as a doddering, absent-minded and generally mild-mannered character in many of his roles in later years. In fact, in his early years, he was very much the model for superheroes, a very popular leading man in action and drama films. Landroo 09:32, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

The Fred MacMurray Clause

I once heard of a contractual condition for actors which is called the Fred MacMurray Clause. The clause deals with the fact that Fred MacMurray was a huge celebrity who agreed to appear on the TV sitcom with the proviso that all of his scenes were to be filmed during a short space of time and not stretched out over months. Not only did the studio film Fred MacMurray acting out his scripted role, they also filmed reaction shots to be editted into scenes that would be filmed at a later date when he was not there. In this way, Fred MacMurray did not have to spend unnecessary time waiting around between scenes.

The television sitcom mentioned was called "My Three Sons".

Fred MacMurray & Les Paul Connection

20 years ago, The Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin was giving an award to Les Paul and I attended the event. Les Paul spoke about when he was younger and living in Waukesha Wisconsin (20 miles West of Milwaukee). He said that his brother had a job with a towel service or carpet service and Les went on to say how he and a good friend would ride into Milwaukee on his brother's truck and they would hang out all day together in Milwaukee and then his brother would pick them up when he was done with work and heading back out to Waukesha. Les said that the friend was Fred MacMurray, it must have been when Fred was attending Carrol College. John Candy's Entombment

"Actor John Candy was entombed in the same mausoleum, two crypts above Fred MacMurray." Am I the only one who finds this statement irrelevant to the point of being bizarre? SDCHS (talk) 21:19, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
