Vishnu Schist

[edit]

Frenchman Mountain is not "capped" by the Vishnu Schist; the Precambrian rocks are way down on the west side, near the base of the mountain.

You're right about the Vishnu Schist. I've corrected it, and a couple of other minor errors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Llanitedave (talkcontribs) 03:39, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Frenchman Mountain and Sunrise Mountain

[edit]

If they are two different mountains, then why is a merge being suggested? Vegaswikian (talk) 06:07, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possible re-nameing

[edit]

June of 2013 there is a proposal to rename Frenchman Mountain to Reagan mountain in honor of the former president. Frenchman Mountain would still be called Frenchman Mountain, but its as-yet-unnamed summit would become Mount Reagan. If there are no objections in the fall meeting. Vegas conservative wants to make a presidential peak out of a Belgian's mountain — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shieldwolf (talkcontribs) 22:12, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
