GML Application schemas are a corollary of GML, but merits an independent topic. The redirect was suggested by User:Doug Bell, but then implemented by User:Cdc without transferring the content so the change was de-facto censorship. I have reverted so for now so at least the content is not lost. —dr_shorthair 01:57, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Calling Cdc's creation of the redirect de-facto censorship strikes me as odd and makes me think that you have some sort of vested interest in this topic. I see no motivation of censorship, simply an effort to improve the encyclopedia. —Doug Bell talkcontrib 15:48, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Doug - yeah I have an interest, though not sure if it is "vested". I'm one of the editors of GML, and am also a developer of application schemas. So I have a strong interest in both pages. But I don't make money out of it;-) Because of my involvement I also have a strong sense of the separation of concerns here, which is why I created the subsidiary page in the first place! The phrase "de-facto censorship" was intended to be descriptive, not perjorative. The content was not transfered, so material was suppressed. Very busy this week, and wanted to link the page to help resolve an issue I am working on so it was frustrating to find the content "gone". I guess that showed. —dr_shorthair 01:12, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
