About the [cite needed] for "Jugum"

[edit]

Untitled

[edit]

Jugum, formerly seen for [Gamma Lyrae], may have come from a misunderstanding of Bayer's text, where it probably is used merely to designate the star's position on the frame of the Lyre, his words being ad dextrum cornu, Zvyόv, Iugum, -- a fair example of the indefiniteness of much of his stellar nomenclature. (Star-Names and their Meanings, p287).

I don't speak Latin so I have no idea how much use this is but I thought I'd leave this here in case it helps anyone else. This book is used as a cite on many of the other Lyra star articles so I assume it's considered a fairly reliable source. Cheers! --142.25.33.206 (talk) 22:08, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
