Gantiadi is a Soviet-era name meaning 'dawn' in Georgian so there's no reason to prefer it to the Abkhazian variant used in the article about the town where this church is located. No one currently knows how the place was called when the basilica was built. Alæxis¿question? 14:50, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As Google Ngram source shows, Gantiadi is more well known name for the town in English speaking world + as for Georgian speakers too, unlike your proposed name, so here is a real reason to prefer it to any other variant. --g. balaxaZe 07:10, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
