Perhaps if is just me, but this article seems to have a certain slaint and perhaps unnecessary snarkiness?

Atrocities committed by both sides

The most atrocities (killing) were committed by the Russians and Japanese, plus the Russians committing rape. Likewise, the Chinese responded with extreme brutality specifically to Russian and Japanese stragglers who were caught, mutilated and murdered.

Proposal: Rename to 'Colonial looting of Beijing'

See above. Traditional name was used by colonial historians to cover for their employers atrocities.
