Egypt has the following Intelligence agencies: 1. The General Intelligence المخابرات العامة which reports directly to the President and responsible for the external intellingence activities. It equals the CIA. 2. The Military Intelligence Department, المخابرات الحربية which reports to the Minister of Defence. It equals the DIA 3. I recommend the "current status" section be deleted, as it seems primarily to be an anti-Israel dig. In the very least, the "current status" section heading is not appropriate as the section has very little to do with the overall status of the General Intelligence Directorate.
