Geoheritage (journal) - cover image.[edit]

I scanned the front cover of my copy of issue 1.1 - and cut and pasted the copyright info from the cover of Geology (journal). It seems this is not good enough and the image will be deleted in a few days. Can someone help, please? My lo res scan is better than the tiny image on the journal web page! Thanks. • "Fair use" is not allowed on Commons, but it is allowed on enWP. See File:G2Bcover.jpg for an example. Note that only low-res images are allowed. You can use your scan, if it is too high-res, a bot will come by and reduce the resolution to an acceptable level. Hope this helps. --Randykitty (talk) 16:00, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for the info and example - that indeed helps. I wait for the bot: I reduced the image to 27KB from the scan. If the bot rejects the image I'll come back to you! Or use the one on the journal web page. Calc-flinta (talk) 16:13, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, the bot came by and deleted it. So the image I could use is the one here: [1]https://www.springer.com/journal/12371/
    I've downloaded it.
Geoheritage journal is contributed to and read internationally so I want to use an image that works on all WP. Calc-flinta (talk) 12:04, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the scan got deleted. Last night I tried again and uploaded a cover image taken from Geoheritage's website [2]https://www.springer.com/journal/12371/ and I've tried to add a copyright tag - magazine cover seems appropriate Template:Non-free magazine cover but cannot see how, despite the instructions. My edited version of the G2B cover info you kindly sent didn't work. Can you help, please? Calc-flinta (talk) 13:13, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
