In response to the criticism about notoriety and referencing, I have added a number of external references, for example to appearances on French national radio, to a website of an external research agency, to the Paris School of Economics and so on. In addition, since the time when the page was first deleted in February 2015, George de Menil has been awarded a position on the French Academie des Sciences Morale et Politiques, one of the highest honors an academic can receive in France.

In response to the concern about my being a single purpose account, I have made numerous edits to wikipedia pages while a graduate student throughout the past ten years, but never logged in to do so. This is the first time I have created an entry from scratch, which is why it may have flaws. I am open to addressing those flaws and learning through this process, and hope to contribute more articles in the future.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

This page should not be speedily deleted because... Georges de Menil is a notable person. The original author has added sufficient reference material to back this up. Criticism of the page should focus now on specific elements rather than on right to exist. The original author has expressed willingness to address any specific concerns --Bdemenil (talk) 04:33, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
