[edit]An interesting article, but it is not clear how you turn the pile or if it's necessary to turn it or if you simply plant on top of it.Brallan 10:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Would also be nice to hear what the reason for its use is, what is the advantage over just piling the material up mixed. And therefore also who uses it, eg domestic or commercial producers etc. Tabby (talk) 08:05, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Also, what is the source for this page? Might this "magic mound" be the same thing as 'Hugelkultur'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.241.100.227 (talk) 16:54, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Another name for sheet + trench composting - useful way to dispose of woody material that will decompose faster buried, decompose the sod .... doesn't have to be deep because the mound is the goal .... good for growing squash family + corn Red58bill (talk) 23:40, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
