[edit]How is the neutrality disputed since the article includes the word 'perceived'? Rlloyd3 01:38, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Changed "percieved" to "what the Institute sees as". Is that a bit more NPOV? Squirrel Killer 20:48, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
the page doesn't really say what they do.
I added a brief summary of care model taken from the 'Patch Adams' page. DFS (talk) 21:22, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Where is the Gesundheit hospital
[edit]Patch Adams has been raising money for 40 years to build a hospital in Pocahontas County, WV. THERE IS NO GESUNDHEIT HOSPITAL. Ask any local resident. Meanwhile, our only real hospital, Pocahontas Memorial continues to struggle to keep its doors open. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MM McLaughlin (talk • contribs) 00:05, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --98.245.84.50 (talk) 03:58, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
The article states 'The Institute states its vision as being dedicated to revolutionizing health care delivery by replacing what the Institute sees as greed and competition with generosity and compassion.'
The article is claiming that it is important to reform the current health care model. It is silly to assert that the health care model is sustainable and optimized, and this article is important because it identifies an alternative model, thus helping develop dialogue about how to approach the health care system.

Significance
[edit]The Institute appears to be a real facility, labeled by Google Maps, near where the geo coordinates point. This article is about the Institute; not the proposed hospital. The Institute appears to be credible that is it really exists. Its claims to significance appear to be that it was directly connected with a notable movie, it seeks to integrate alternative healing methods, and it has and apparently continues to have an international humanitarian clowning program. The article is certainly in need of critical and updated work but that doesn't appear to be an A7 justification.
