Cry Baby - single?

[edit]

Multiple sources seem to be referring to Cry Baby as the project's next single, such as Pitchfork ("Megan Thee Stallion has shared a new video for her DaBaby-featuring Good News single 'Cry Baby'"), Rap-Up ("'Cry Baby,' which is currently No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, is the latest single off Megan’s debut album Good News"), Billboard ("the 'Cry Baby' single is lifted from Megan's debut album Good News"), and HotNewHipHop ("Her single 'Cry Baby' with DaBaby was given the visual treatment and fans are loving it."). While I would prefer one of the radio sites to confirm, or for her label to officially say something, a lot of sources seem to refer to it as the next single. And taking into account the video, the scattered airplay, the song's popularity, and the fact that a good amount of time has passed since "Body" was released as a single there is a strong case to be made that "Cry Baby" is the next single.

I don't think a source calling a song a single is sufficient reason to regard it as a single. Any source can (erroneously) call a song something it's not. I agree with you, the appropriate source should be a radio release or via her label. Perhaps it will get sent to radio soon, we'll have to wait and see if this is part lf the promo. no Disagree If a song or track is a single, at least it should be released as a single. It seems that clues refer it to be the next single, but it's still too early to call. -- BrandNew Jim Zhang (talk) 01:09, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
