i don't agree that Hafnarfjörður now commonly considered the Icelandic capital of rock'n'roll. Although many people (mostly people from Hafnarfjörður) considered it to be.

Also... The elves bit... Is that real or spam? I'm confused.

It's real. Tours around the supposed homes of elves exist [1]. This is mostly catering to foreign tourists, few Icelanders actually believe in the existence of elves. --Bjarki 22:21, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But let's say "supposedly" on the article then, or "allegedly" or something like that. Stating that elves are living there without any qualifier is scientific nonsense. Must have been inserted to advertise the tours. I'm going to remove the whole section unless you guys come up with a defendable formulation. godot (talk) 04:26, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Within notable people there is the problematic line "Hafnarfjörður is the home town of the famous Icelandic pop singer Björgvin Halldórsson as well as the Abstract artists, Guðmundur Karl and Patrick Karl" within the list. I would have editted it to make it part of the list, with a line for Björgvin and a line for the Karl brothers, but I cannot find any information at all about the Karls so I'm asking how legitimate this is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.56.48.128 (talk) 13:43, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is this one correct? If yes add it to the article.

Climate data Hornafjörður/ Hafnarfjörður Not the same town.

[edit]

The climate data is for the town of Hornafjörður which is far east of the country! Not Hafnarfjörður. I recommend the section be deleted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Berserkur (talkcontribs) 19:24, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
