Football?[edit]

Shouldn't there be a mention somewhere that handoff is also a notable play in american football? I dunno where or how (see-also or whatnot), but it seems like people might search Handoff for the football term TheHYPO (talk) 02:27, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why not "handover" ?[edit]

The article itself mentions that "handover" is the terminology standardised by 3GPP for both GSM and UMTS. Shouldn't "handover" be the canonical term ? I have been in the telecommunication industry in Europe for twelve years and this is the first time I encounter the use of "handoff" instead of "handover". Is "handoff" the standard term in the USA ? Handover (history)[edit]

Why does "Handover (history)" (e.g. used in the Hong Kong article) redirect to this article here? The two uses of the word seem to have nothing in common.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.201.108.17 (talk) 13:41, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
