I moved Corsairs of Umbar content to a dedicated page because they were independent of the Haradrim for most of their history. -- Alcarillo 19:13, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Why is this article not part of the Men of Middle-earth article?--Moosh88 08:25, 23 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Similarties to real races

[edit]

In the article it states that the haradrim are similar to africans but aren't haradrim heavily arab influenced? Burning phoneix 22:03, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why "Southrons" and not "Haradrim"?

[edit]

A Google search for Haradrim brings up far more results than Southrons. Also, it seems that the term "Southrons" is used in non-Tolkien contexts. Uthanc 14:43, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Back when I added this page I was simply following a red Southrons link. Either term would fit well, I have no objection to a move. Southrons fits better with Easterlings than Haradrim does to it, though. -- Jordi· 12:44, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Moved to Haradrim. Uthanc 09:04, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all, I think there should be a small section on the possible military tactics used by each of the different peoples of middle earth. This section could go towards the end of the page under the subheading: Haradrim tactics in Warcraft. Hopefully, there would be a similar section on the tactics of Rohirim etc. --Seoden 00:24, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Inaccuracy

[edit]

The people Sam, Frodo, and Gollum saw at the gate. I believe they where from Rhun and not from Harad. I looked into this and Gollum said men from the east and not south...

They're from Harad: "Sméagol thinks they have come out of the South..." and Sam sings the Oliphaunt song, associated with the Haradrim. Uthanc 00:23, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Those are the people in Ithilien you are thinking about. The people I am talking about are at the black gate in the Two Towers... The people at the black gate are form Rhun.
The quotes are from "The Black Gate is Closed". The Ithilien stuff is from "Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit". Uthanc 06:37, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um... no. Uthanc (talk) 09:55, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just look up "Haradrim" at images.google.com. They cover there faces with cloth, similar like arabs. They use Elephats. They have red banners like the osman empire. Tolkin created with the Haradrim an evil folk and he used reflection from his (I don't share his views) reality. There are also more rumors, that the Ork-Mens represent the primitive folks like the aboriginies. --79.234.248.212 (talk) 22:05, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found a site which is explaining the similarities of Haradrim, Haradwaith, Cosair ... with historical people & Places --79.234.248.212 (talk) 22:33, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Haradrim.jpg

[edit]

Image:Haradrim.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
