Date[edit]

The intro dates the event to 180. Yet the article suggests dates of 130, 186 and 230. It should therefore be stated that the event occurred between 130 and 230.Royalcourtier (talk) 20:45, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is reasonably well accepted that the reports from Rome and China represent good evidence of the date of the eruption. The radio carbon date is of interest but it's accuracy is very questionable given the other evidence. This is well discussed in the article. Andrewgprout (talk) 05:45, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
