Album notability
[edit]Volume 11 (and volumes 1-15, if not more) are notable on their face as being part of Have a Nice Day Series. <sarcasm> If one is to delete this page, one may as well delete them all. Heck, delete all series-based VA period compilations, especially the ones that remain in print for over fifteen years.</sarcasm> Seriously, if this one album article is not notable, then why are any others notable? -- Fantailfan (talk) 23:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS aside, I don't really think they are notable "on their face" just for being part of this series. Perhaps a merge? I find it unlikely anyone would actually search the title of this page, and I think the project would be better served by one central page on the subject. Beeblbrox (talk) 23:42, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Someone actually wrote WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS? Good God. In think that the fact that other articles of equal non-notability exist is really the point. I also like the Auntie Krep notes on inclusion not being an indicator of notability, the Pokémon test, and that we shouldn't add sewage to the already polluted pond.. I've never gotten into the notability wars and avoided the music genre screaming marches and other arguments. My forte is completeness, which leads to article creation based on logical fallacies such as the ones listed above. Also keeping in mind that Wikipedia is not a list, I think your argument is valid. I will work on merging it with t'others.
- I might add that you shouldn't don't overuse shortcuts to policy and guidelines to win your argument.
- One of these days I'm going to write an article consisting entirely of links to other pages. Keep on smilin'! -- Fantailfan (talk) 12:19, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Collectible?
[edit]Does anyone know why this particular CD is worth so much? I have seen it go for as much as $95 on some websites (seems strange for a Rhino CD compilation); the others in the series usually go for about $4-$10. I would think this might be worthwhile posting in this article.162.39.190.225 (talk) 23:07, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
