Hi there! I will be reviewing this for you since you've reviewed so many of my noms in the past. I will have comments below within the next few days. Grk1011 (talk) 15:54, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Brandon Green, Tyler Williams, and Tony Scales are mentioned by their pen names in the article body, with their birth names only appearing in the infobox. On first mention (or somewhere in the article), write Brandon Green (Maejor Ali), etc. to avoid confusion.
  • "for the album and the first in Bieber's series Music Mondays" -> "for the album and was the first song released as part of Bieber's Music Mondays series"
  • "while certain reviewers praised the musical style." -> "while other reviewers praised the musical style."
  • "In February 2021, Bieber performed the song at a livestream concert for TikTok on Valentine's Day." <- I know you're trying to summarize live performances for the lead, but this sentence feels out of place the way it's tacked on the end here.

Background

[edit]
  • "The producer recalled him and the other contributors" -> The producer recalled that him and the other contributors"
  • "normal radio standards" <- suggest not using this as a quote since you have so much quoted text in this paragraph. This isn't an important line.
  • Was the advertisement video or audio-only?
  • Introduce Music Mondays as a concept/promo instead of mentioning it casually. It was a promotional mechanism for the song as well.
  • "and dubbed the performance as "pouring his heart out"" <- which performance is the author speaking of?

Composition and lyrics

[edit]
  • The second sentence sounds choppy. I think it's because you've split up pop and hip-hop for the refs. Reword.

Release and reception

[edit]
  • The first part of this feels repetitive. Does it need to be part of the Background section as well?
  •  Not done things being repeated is fine when it is for context; the first instance introduces Music Mondays in more detail and this is not mentioned as the first release of the series until release. --K. Peake 10:43, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • I was surprised by the West comment. I thought the similarity was just the artwork, mentioned in Background?
  • Add a comma between "Timberlake" and" depending"
  • "She appreciated how" sentence reads a bit run-on

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • "On June 25, 2020, nearly seven years after its release, "Heartbreaker" was certified gold" <- This is a substantial time difference from the preceding sentences.
  • Open the second paragraph with something like "Outside of North America,"

Credits and personnel

[edit]
  • Where does Tidal list the credits? Do you have to have an account/login?
  • Other credits such as artwork, mixing, etc?

Release history

[edit]
  • The ref doesn't list Island, streaming, or any indication of the regions it was released in.
  •  Partly done I added an additional citation for streaming and the sources saying the song was released without a region means various, however do I really need to source the label when it is what Bieber is signed to? --K. Peake 10:43, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

General discussion

[edit]

On hold while the above comments are addressed or explained. Great job with this! Grk1011 (talk) 23:45, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Kyle Peake Thank you for making those changes! To clarify one of the comments: maybe something like this: "The first live performance of the song took place in February 2021, when Bieber performed it during a livestream concert for TikTok on Valentine's Day." But anyway, I'm happy to  Pass now with the fixes you've already made. Grk1011 (talk) 19:26, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
