Ambiguity in the introduction

[edit]

This sentence from the introduction's second paragraph is somewhat ambiguous "It is estimated that less than 400 HK41's were produced and even fewer imported in the U.S. for civilian consumption". Was the author attempting to state that only 400 HK41's were produced at all? Or is he saying that there were only 400 HK21s that were specifically produced for the US market and only some of those were actually imported? I would appreciate it if someone who is familiar with the subject could clarify the passage.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 20:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Title

[edit]

The HK41 represented a small fraction of the H&K military-style rifles produced and sold, so why does "HK91" redirect to "HK41", and why is the article headed "HK41"? It should be the other way around. "HK41" is not a widely used or recognized name for these firearms, while "HK91" is the nomenclature used in advertising, laws, websites, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.2.128.73 (talk) 00:52, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed?

[edit]

This article makes no sense. HK91 redirects to HK41, but then he article just starts talking about the HK91, and the whole paragraph that mentions something about renaming the gun appears after that and is horribly written. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brettland (talkcontribs) 04:02, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. This article (and the one for "HK43") need renaming. The firearms being discussed are unknown, for the most part, under those names. The vast majority of their commercial sales, etc, was under the nomenclature of "HK91" and "HK93." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.56.155.107 (talk) 08:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
