Helen Anderson Bio

[edit]

Helen was Mary Helen Fairchild. She was the daughter of John Fletcher Fairchild, sheriff of Coconino County. Carl was from Kansas. Fletcher was a participant in the Pleasant Valley War - [[1]] - see caption for a brief biography. After Carl died in about 1921 she was remarried to a Mr. Seligman, owner of the trading post in Seligman Arizona. He later changed his name to Smith because of fear of anti-semitism. She had two children - (Donald) Keith Anderson who lived in Denver after WW II and a daughter, Jane Smith, with Mr. Seligman (Smith). Later she was remarried a third time. I will look this up and see if there is a source for this that would meet Wikipedia's guidelines for accessibility. Helen was the niece of Billy Roden, who was a participant in the Padre Canyon Incident, and other early Arizona Settlers. 207.183.181.238 (talk) 14:32, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
