"Tower" in the page title? Proposal for renaming
[edit]I have not previously proposed a Wikipedia page rename, but I think this deserves it.
As far as I can tell, the Reservation is the entire park property which includes the Tower - and also the stone High Rock Cottage down below.
I feel strongly that this page should be renamed to "High Rock Reservation" or "High Rock Park", depending on a few things:
- Does the term "Park" allow for multiple levels / distinct areas? (High Rock Cottage on Johns Avenue is significantly separated from High Rock Tower by elevation and means of access)
- Does a "Reservation" allow for inclusion of a "Park" ??
Either way... I feel that the word "Tower" should be removed from this page title, because regardless of being a Park or a Reservation it is more than just the Tower.

Acreage change
[edit]Previously the acreage was listed as 4.3 and 4.5 acres (why the discrepancy I don't know) but the official Open Space Plan http://www.cityoflynnoecd.net/documents/community/City%20of%20Lynn%20Open%20Space%20Plan.pdf (page 65) lists it as 7.16 acres.
Most likely (I think) is that the 4.3/4.5 acre numbers were only accounting for the upper part of the park (Circuit Avenue area, playground, Tower). The actual Reservation includes the "middle" level of the stone Cottage, and the "lower" level sloping down to Essex Street, and additional unimproved land to the west-southwest of the playground. When looking at satellite map views, the "lower" and possibly "middle" levels of the Reservation do appear to be of the size that would account for the difference.
Regardless of the reason for the error, the City of Lynn report clearly lists 7.16 acres.
