Should be redirect for now

[edit]

@Pickersgill-Cunliffe: WP:NFF is fairly clear on this issue:

Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date. The assumption should also not be made that because a film is likely to be a high-profile release it will be immune to setbacks—there is no "sure thing" production. Until the start of principal photography, information on the film might be included in articles about its subject material, if available. Sources must be used to confirm the start of principal photography after shooting has begun.

I support the revert of this back to a redirect for now. If needed, we can take the issue to AFD, but I'd like to think we can just sort the issue out here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:06, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiDan61: Hi, if that's what discussion and policy deem correct then that's what should happen. My issue was more the edit being argued because the article "may fail WP:GNG", which I think is vague and uncertain enough to request some more concrete discussion to iron things out. Thanks, Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 18:10, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are some IP addresses editing the article and removing the redirect, as if it deserved coverage. I just read WP:NFF, and it's clear that, given that pre-production has not yet ended, a redirect is better suitable for this film. MarioSonicPlayer (talk) 20:39, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
