Inception of the accompanying article
[edit]119.154.18.245 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) made 2 contributions in November, by appending the current content to the bottom of the Dab page Malakand. I perform a split, resulting in the early edit history of History of District Malakand: the two revisions by 119 included the Dab'g entries that were actually contributed earlier by editors who are credited in the edit history of Malakand. My own contribution to date is entirely negative: i reduced the content to the portion actually contributed by 119, who closed with

Merge?
[edit]My first impulse was that the whole content of the accompanying article should be merged to Malakand District, of course losing one or the other's account where one was completely redundant to the other. But at least superficially, the accompanying article's topic is broader than any of our existing Malakand articles. I leave the matter to those qualified to edit on the subject of the various Malakands and/or incarnations of Malakand.

[edit]Villlage Haryankot
[edit]Village Haryankot Haryankot village is situated on Manzaray Baba road from Dargai to Kot Village. History of this village is not old then 500 years , this land was forest and dessert . Utman Khels settled here before 4 to 5 hundred years, one of a man named Manrho was shifted here and he evoke his three other brothers at Haryankot, their sub tribe name in Utman Khel is "Swarh Khels". They feel to evoke others peopels for helping them in farming and other works so they invite a sub tribe Stanadars for helping them. and they gave them lands for farming. Standars was a noble tribe that time and Swarh khels respected them for being a good tribe. After 1900 nighbourhood village Gharhi Usmani Khels attacked on Hryankot . HAarynkot population was very less vs Gharhi Usmani Khels so they invoke their Utmankhels brothers for fighting against Gharhi Usmani Khels. So a new tribe named Porgharhi ( out side from river of Barang) was settled. they give also lands homes and much more and they living happyily. the land of Haryyankot is half of irrageted and half is rainfed. Now a days more then 50% population are from Swarh Khels tribes, and other 50% belongs to Stanadars, Porigharhi, Mandals, Khattak, and Turi Khels. There are no Malik ( Jarga Masher) from other tribes except Swar Khels, Stanadars, and Porigharhi. Maliks (Masharan) of this village also more in numbers belongs to Swarh Khel tribes in Jarga and as well as in Union Council, one of a leader from Swarh Khels named Sher Badshah elected six times as genral seat and naib Nazim, but unfortunately in every election he afronted of his own tribe member but Sher Badshah defeat him badly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 43.224.238.118 (talk) 18:19, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Article scope
[edit]Is this article supposed to cover the history of the territory currently part of Malakand District, or that of the much bigger former Malakand Agency? Whatever the scope, it may be better if this were merged (or redirected) to the respective article, as neither of them is particularly long. – Uanfala (talk) 16:18, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
- This is a history article. In history article, related issues can be addressed. History of Greece can have Constantinople in it. You are causing unnecessary drama everywhere. Zakaria ښه راغلاست (talk) 16:35, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
- And do you think that people like me aren't going to fact check your edit summaries? The cite you removed says
Malakand Protected Area shares its history with Swat, Bajaur and Dir, erstwhile part and parcel of the Malakand Agency.
This is right out of the Pakistani Census. So your ORIGINAL RESEARCH that Mingora has nothing to do with Malakand CONTRADICTS what the actual cite stays. Stop tampering with the history of Pakistan. Zakaria ښه راغلاست (talk) 16:46, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
