Second Wave cooperatives

I want to add a section on the second wave cooperatives that flourished in the United States in the 1960s and 70s, but I'm unsure if I'm missing any global trend. As far as I'm aware, the resurgence was primarily in the U.S. Please speak up if you know about cooperatives in other countries. Gobonobo T C 17:13, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

What is a cooperative? what makes an organization a cooperative? what are the criteria? i believe these things are lacking from the article. the histories are interesting and useful, but they leave out important details. SouTHCoasteR (talk) 03:01, 21 December 2007 (UTC)SouTHCoasteR

Merge U.S. History article

I'm proposing merging History of cooperatives in the United States into this article. The article is very short and could easily fit into a section here on cooperative history in the U.S. <spanBold text style="font-family:Verdana; color:#333300;">Gobonobo T C 07:48, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

I think I'd be against a merge: the article may be short now, but a decent article on the history of co-ops in America should be quite a size and would need it's own space. Just because the one we have now isn't good enough doesn't mean it should be merged: it means it should be improved! JonStrines (talk) 09:33, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Much of the US article is of global significance, yet missing from the global article. If you have the time, Gobonobo, I would suggest that you copy some of that article here, yet leave the US history article in place to flourish alongside this one. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 12:06, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
