Hi. I created a more neutral description of the organization based on their "About Us" section, but I didn't think I quoted anything verbatim. I don't think there is a violation. Further, HFSC says that all of its materials can be used: "Usage Permissions The Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition encourages the use of its materials by individuals, organizations and local public education campaigns that are aligned with the HFSC mission. HFSC does allow fire departments to add their logos to HFSC educational material. All HFSC materials must be used in their complete and original form unless alterations are specifically approved by HFSC. HFSC reserves the right to require the discontinued use of any of its information or materials if HFSC determines it has been used in a manner that is inappropriate or contrary to the HFSC mission." The above section is at: http://www.homefiresprinkler.org/media-room If you still think it is a problem, please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, there is a problem. Most of what was deleted involved significant phrases taken directly from the quoted materials. The permissions you list above do not meet Wikipedia requirements for our use of copyright materials (we're not about to use them in their complete original form, nor to ask continued permission.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:44, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks. I think I understand what I did wrong. May I edit the page now, or are you going to delete it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Threegoldens (talkcontribs) 16:50, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you may edit it. You may want to keep an eye toward establishing notability - using third-party sources that speak in depth about the HFSC. Sourcing primarily to an organization's own website (or its members websites) has a problem of accuracy (on my website, I'm 6 foot ten and sexually irresistable!) and in establishing that the group is recognized enough to merit a Wikipedia article. --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:07, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I have revised it and added more details about sprinklers, referencing other organizations. Thank you for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Threegoldens (talkcontribs) 19:03, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the material that was just about fire sprinklers, because this isn't an article about fire sprinklers, but about an organization. It's that which must be notable. --Nat Gertler (talk) 22:02, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
