"…three sixteenths of an inch (5mm)"!!!![edit]

Isn't it ridicolous, after more than 2 centuries of metric system, to see TECHNICIANS, supposed to be scientific minded, modern, 'up-to-date', still stuck in the obsolete, sad, irrational, funny, ridicolous world using still the measure system of the faraon times?
