Hogg

My understanding of Old Norse is that "hogg" means to hew or chop. The Celtic form refers to the animal "hog." So a "Hogg of __" island would either appear to be chopped (have cliffs), or be separated a short distance and match another island. I'll adjust the article, but do correct it back and note if I'm in error.Mzmadmike (talk) 05:50, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
