Page from a GFDL-licensed web page[edit]

This article was originally at [1], which has been released under the GFDL (actually, it's dual-licensed with an "all rights reserved", which I understand is fine). The article still needs some edits to bring it to an encyclopedic, formal tone. delldot ∇. 15:47, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's new location is http://www.spasandstuff.com/history-of-water-filters/ which has the same content and release declaration from me... the author... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rwricker (talkcontribs) 21:21, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some of this article is largely off topic. Especially the text on Ceramic Filters and Biosand Filters. It's off topic because the title of the article concerns the history of spa filters but these sub headings contain virtually no relevant information on this issue. They could be brought back on topic if they gave some information about how these particular filtration methods have contributed directly to the history of spa filters. It's not enough, I don't think, to simply include them by virtue of being water filters alone, they need to have been used for the purpose of spa filtration or contributed DIRECTLY to its evolution.

I've reworked the information under the "Sand Filter" heading to make it more encyclopedic but a lot more work is required to lift the standard of the remainder of the article. (Even the Sand Filter section still needs work - there are still some ambiguous statements). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.167.15.164 (talk) 20:59, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This topic does not need a stand-alone article[edit]

Propose this article be merged with Water filter or with History of the hot tub or both. A lot of the content is covered better here: Swimming_pool_sanitation --Cornellier (talk) 19:28, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
