History of Hvar Island

I've replaced the History of Hvar Island article with a redirect to this one. I double-checked all of the content and it was already contained in this article's History section (including the references). *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 08:01, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

UNESCO

Hvar is now a UNESCO World Heritage site:

Actually, it seems like it's only Stari Grad.
"Stari Grad Plain (Croatia) on the Adriatic island of Hvar is a cultural landscape that has remained practically intact since it was first colonized by Ionian Greeks from Paros in the 4th century BC. The original agricultural activity of this fertile plain, mainly centring on grapes and olives, has been maintained since Greek times to the present. The site is also a natural reserve. The landscape features ancient stone walls and trims, or small stone shelters, and bears testimony to the ancient geometrical system of land division used by the ancient Greeks, the chora which has remained virtually intact over 24 centuries." Hvar

In "De administrando imperio" Byzantium emperor said "Serbs live there and there"? Well, many politicians even today call all former-Soviet Union citizens as "Russians", although many of them are neither Slavs. Claiming that Serbs lived in 8. century is same as "Wishie wish, how vast you are." Referring to Slider Encyclopedia is, in fact, a self-referring.
If you look better the "reference" http://enc.slider.com/Enc/Pagania, see the text in it. That's the text from Wikipedia.
Recognisable words that another user from Wikipedia used in his edits.
"This was a medieval principality located in today's Central Dalmatia." "Greek map of Serb lands in the 9th century, according to De administrando imperio". Where is that map?
Than, please, look at this citation:
"It should be known that the en:Serbs originate from the pagan Serbs, also called en:White Serbs, who live on the other side of Hungary ("Turcia") [...] Due to the fact that present-day en:Serbia and en:Pagania (Paganoi)... the emperor settled the same Serbs in these lands, and they were under his tutelage; the emperor Christianized them with Roman priests".
Do you see en:? Obvious copying of text from Wikipedia.
