Re this change of French to Spanish [1]. I can see the point - this is obviously a Catalan development, so the Spanish (or Catalan) tag is appropriate. Yet there's an obvious French flag on the side of the vessel. What's the big story here? Andy Dingley (talk) 12:27, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Andy Dingley: here's the story... I know it because the submersible was partially crowdfunded and I participated in the campaign and then I was allowed to visit the facilities and they explained this. The submersible is Catalan-made but it was registered and received its sailing permit in France (this kind of submersibles must pass a test underwater to proof that they are capable of reaching certain depths. In France the company had better support than in Spain so they made the tests there). Since the flag in the vehicle is the French one, though they said they're going to put the Catalan one too, I supposed it was better to respect the submersible markings and put the French one in the infobox. I'm going to revert the edition and put the French one back, but if you think we should discuss it further feel free to change it. The flag should be catalan. If not, watch the official website: It's the first catalan submarine since the first Ictineus done by Narcis Monturiol in 1859 & 1859. 100% of design and engine has been done in Catalonia. It's a national pride. "EL PROJECTE L’ICTINEU 3 és el primer submarí català des dels dos Ictineus de Narcís Monturiol, el 1859 i 1864. Igual que els seus predecessors, és un exemple d’innovació i disseny i un motiu d’orgull nacional ja que el 100% del disseny i l’enginyeria ha estat fet a Catalunya." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.173.146.130 (talk) 14:33, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
