Distinction between Illinois Field and Old Illinois Field
[edit]The current Illinois Field that this article is focuses on has never hosted a college football game. Prior to the construction of Memorial Stadium, Illinois Fighting Illini football played their games at Illinois Field (1884) which was located at the current location of the University of Illinois Engineering Campus near the corner of University Avenue and Wright Street.[1] For this reason, this article should not be the focus of the WikiProject for College Football.
