Definition

Isn't an incendiary a device meant to SET such a fire, rather than the fire itself?

Making a disambiguation page[edit]

This article is just a dictionary definition, and an incorrect one at that. See wikt:incendiary for that.

My dictionary has the primary definition "(of a substance or device, esp. a bomb) designed to cause fires", plus two metaphorical uses. As a noun it is a bomb, an arsonist, or a person who stirs up strife. I think this page should redirect to Incendiary device and have a separate disambuiguation page. "Incendiary" is a very common contraction of "incendiary bomb" (or bullet, or shell), which is far more notable than the other uses listed. Cyclopaedic (talk) 09:57, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
