- Indiana Medical College (1869–1905) in Indianapolis should not to be confused with the same named Indiana Medical College in La Porte, Indiana (1844–1850), two different schools both were connected to John Stough Bobbs. Indiana Medical College was also a different school from School of Medicine of Purdue University (merged 1905–1907), and the Indiana University School of Medicine (merged 1908).
