Any independent confirmation that this organisation ever existed? It sounds suspiciously like the ICDISS whose existence is contested 194.129.60.10 17:09, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- And the article was created by User:Liliana Dioguardi. I've added a hoax tag as an alert. JQ 21:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Edward Lucas from the Economist here. I think this does exist, quite clearly. look at www.iciss.ca
Unlike the ICDISS this has contact info etc. Seems to be part of Canadian foreign policy. 194.129.60.10 16:44, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Expansion Needed
[edit]The ICISS is a quite legitimate Canadian-championed commission, which had widespread global participation. It was created in direct response to Kofi Annan's challenge to prevent another Rwanda. It is notable for proposing a redefined notion of sovereignty and reorienting the humanitarian intervention debate on 'responsibility to protect'. This article could thus use expansion (although a lot of the "responsibility to protect" article is directly related!). hodgetts 03:45, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
The ICISS website is reporting a bad hostname. Could it be replaced with http://responsibilitytoprotect.org/? Keller_Scholl 05:11, 03 January 2012 (UTC)
Bias
[edit]The current version of this article shows a very strong bias against the Commission, which is not backed up with any sources. Can any action be taken on this? 129.125.176.90 (talk) 13:24, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Major Organization and Clean-up
[edit]The ICISS is a legitimate organization that provides facts and backing of UN Decisions. This articles needs to be cleaned and the pov needs to be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.199.242.142 (talk) 14:10, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

"just cause", is too small a quote, even if there is more to the part about Bush's decision
[edit]Without getting into a rant about Adam Smith's 'until all empires are destroyed' concept of using the methods of Imperialism, and other anti-american rants,
the section associating Bush's decision in iraq, with this seems incomplete if-true. "just cause" as a phrase, has been used by many different kinds of americans, over a long time, under or with many different kinds of claimed-authority or claims-of-justification.
