Purpose of the article[edit]

{{to|SM8900}} I'm not sure I see that the material you're pasting here from other articles amounts to treating the Internet age as a discrete topic in its own right, apart from the topics of the source articles. I'm concerned about the pitfalls of this type of Wikipedia:CONTENTFORKING. Or is this just the first step in a larger plan for reorganizing the information among articles? I understand your point; yes, this article is meant to serve as a foundation for adressing this time period as an era. the material added so far is simply meant as an initial foundation for that. this article's scope and content is consistent with other long-standing articles that cover various historical eras, some of which also center around some technical advances that defined that era, such as the Information Revolution. ---Sm8900 (talk) 🌍 04:18, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
