New article created

[edit]

This article contains the bulk of the material in a previous version of symmetry in physics. This latter article has been considerably reorganised. MP (talk) 10:26, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking help

[edit]

I have requested help with the cleaning up of this article from someone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Physics, since I, for one, can't understand a word of it to even begin the cleaning process. Unschool (talk) 06:33, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rewritten. Please feel free to make more changes, or to make suggestions about which parts remain unclear. And to add examples of scalar quantities, vector quantities, etc. since I didn't get around to it. --Reuben (talk) 02:53, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm missing here one important part of isometries. The part which involves discrete transformations and which is used to classify the crystal types and their possible properties (e.g. piezoelectricity). I'd like to append that to the article but I'm not an expert in this field of application. 78.128.193.169 (talk) 00:45, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
