Song Genre
[edit]I think that the genre of this song is Country music not bro-country. Any consensus on this issue? User:PvtHudson VII could you please explain the change to Bro-country? GoldMiner24 (talk) 06:51, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Stating an (incorrect?) opinion
[edit]I’m not an experienced editor here so I didn’t want to just make a change, but I find the part of the article discussing “whether it’s really always 5 o’clock somewhere” strange.
First, it seems off topic as a bit out of place for the article to start opining on the accuracy of the phrase. It’s really an opinion and not a matter of fact.
Second, to state my own opinion it’s missing the point. Saying “it’s 5 o’clock” in this context is saying “it’s quitting time, let’s go drink”, meaning it’s shortly after 5 o’clock. Not that it’s 5:00:00 exactly. So then yes it is always 5 o’clock somewhere.
(not to mention there is such a thing as half time zones :) ). Fredct (talk) 00:06, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
Content section necessary?
[edit]It seems a bit descriptive and unnecessary, and lacking in secondary sources. Mr Blumenthal (talk) 14:58, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
