Editorializing
[edit]This should be cleaned up to just have date and event -- no editorializing, minimum content. --The Cunctator 19:54, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Grouping?
[edit]Is this intended (ideally) to be strictly chronological? Or do people think that a related events that extend over months or even years should be grouped together?
[Some grouping obviously makes sense - like (this is fictitious, obviously) "May 2-26, 2005 - Makes repeated trips to Antarctica". But that's not my question.]
Personally, I'd like to go with strict chronological, even if that takes a bit more words, such as "Following up on XXXX, Abramoff does YYYY". But I'll defer to the group. John Broughton 22:47, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ahem ... echo's kind of loud in here ... I'm going to take the lack of response as an okay to strart putting things in strict chronological sequence; further discussion is welcome, of course. John Broughton 01:34, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
POV tag
[edit]I put the POV template here at the request of an inactive user, and I'd have to concur, given the editorializing with words like "gangland" shooting. More references are needed, and more NPOV language -- Fuzheado | Talk 05:10, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- It was gangland-style. Consider: he was driving his car. Another car pulled in front of him and stopped. A third car pulled up along side of him, boxing him in. An occupant in the third car fired multiple shots and killed Boulis, and then the cars left the scene [1]. How would you describe this? Here's a quote from the Wash Post: they charged three men in the 2001 gangland-style slaying of of a Florida businessman...; or here's one by AP appearing in a local Florida paper, the headline reads Three charged in gangland-style murder of Suncruz founder 'Gus' Boulis. Here's a quote from a Bloomberg news article: Boulis was killed gangland-style in 2001. under the subheading Gangland-Style Murder. -- Sholom 13:11, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe the inactive user should do his own work. Why do we need to know that anyway, especially since you concur?
- I checked the articles and as far as "gangland" goes, there seems to a be a consensus in the newspapers at least :P Annoying username (talk) 11:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
