Talk:Jakov Lukarić
Appearance
Hi, @Joy:, first, thanks for chipping in some good edits, however, have you heard or read about a different person with a name Jakov Lukarić (not Lukarevć), who lived at about the same time, but that other person was Franciscan, and maybe writer (probably writer), etc. What I mean is, I am not sure if Jakov Lukarević-historian was ever called Jakov Lukarić, it seems to me that this other person was called Lukarrić, so it could appear to be an issue of possible simple misnomer confusion on Internet. I don't know, but if you know or find something more, take it under a consideration.--౪ Santa ౪99° 01:56, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, every source I noticed when I searched for this indicates it's referring to the same thing - Luccari was 'translated' inconsistently, and everyone seems to refer to this person who lived 1551-1615. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 08:14, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- To be honest, I got the impression that "Lukarevic" is less common surname in general, and Lukarić is used more often and maybe even more correctly. I think that this Redirect won't create further confusion, I suppose, until someone creates an article about a Franciscan named Jakov Lukarić (Giacomo Luccari). But even then, we won't be sure if one was Lukarević and other just Lukarić, because it appears they are both called Lukarević and Lukarić. Anyway :-) ౪ Santa ౪99° 21:11, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- Oww, 1513-1575, that's too close for comfort :) well, maybe someone like Governor Sheng cares to create that (I remember them editing cleric articles) and then we will just disambiguate. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 07:47, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
