Doing some minor editing

[edit]

So everyone knows, I have attended 9 of these events and co-coordinated one in 2005. I am editing in a neutral way, mostly wikifying and some minor copyediting, some refs, etc. If you feel my edits are in any way not neutral then please feel free to ask me to recuse myself from editing this article, a request I shall take very seriously. Bstone, thanks for documenting this. I haven't looked at your edits but I don't see anything here that is a problem. 131.96.47.8 (talk) 14:57, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability questions

[edit]

I'm looking at this article and I can't really see how it qualifies under wikipedia Notability rules. I see one dead link to the Jewish Daily Forward and some blog entries as sources, but nothing documenting notability.

I haven't marked this as an AfD because I want to give the editors time to respond. Anyone want to jump in and straighten this out? 131.96.47.8 (talk) 14:57, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just came back from Jews in the Woods 2012, and I am happy to say that JitW is not dead anymore! I made a minor change to the page to reflect this (last sentence of the intro paragraph, with an added source). I'm not sure what to do about the dead link, though.

Additional documentation of notability can be found in "Inventing Jewish Ritual" By Vanessa L. Ochs, (ISBN: 0827608349). A case study considering the broader influence of this group begins on page 70. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.49.49.180 (talk) 16:23, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
