This page has a link to "Alternate forms of John", yet that page does not list "Jhon". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.102.65.10 (talk) 22:19, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

“Misspelling”

[edit]

Is it fair to call it “a common misspelling” if it’s been spelt like “Jhon” since 1954? I don’t know. Is “John” a more-common spelling in South America? Dabblequeen (talk) 05:05, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Not to meant be"

[edit]

Some time ago I removed a claim that the name Jhon translates from Hebrew as "not to meant be". My reasons were twofold: firstly, that is not a meaningful phrase in English, so nothing can reasonably translate to it. Secondly, the sources provided give no support whatsoever to the claim; I can find nothing relevant online.

My change was reverted by user 179.51.77.98, without explanation. Since my objections are unaddressed, I have removed the claim again. Please do not put it back again without citing a proper source. JBritnell (talk) 17:24, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
